In a series of motions the board approved the district's salary schedule for the 2025–26 fiscal year as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. A trustee moved to approve the attached list of district salaries; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board also approved hiring daily substitute teachers at a rate of $150 per day with no benefits (pending clearances), and approved attached supplemental positions for the 2025–26 school year under the master agreement.
The board approved specific hires for food service and transportation: cafeteria staff were approved at $12.48/hour (non-certified) and $17.56/hour (certified) pending clearances, with named hires Darlene Sorrentino and Sandra Sosa; transportation hires included a van driver at $16.85/hour and a bus driver at $24.66/hour, with Ashley Baltazar and Paul Beatty named and all hires pending required clearances. The board also accepted the resignation of John Jertatowicz, full-time custodian, effective Sept. 2, 2025; trustees acknowledged this is the second recent custodial resignation and said applicants are being interviewed to fill the vacancies.
