The Bristol Borough School District board used part of its Nov. 13 meeting to honor David Ciccoletti for 36 years of service and to mark his impending role as a district justice.
Dr. Joseph Downey, who identified himself as a board consultant and music teacher, opened public remarks by thanking Ciccoletti for his support of arts programming: “I appreciate everything you've done, Dave. You've been a true friend of the arts.” John Hill, a former board member, called Ciccoletti “a mentor” and thanked him for decades of service. Board members recounted long memories of mentorship, local engagement and steady leadership.
On behalf of the district, board members presented Ciccoletti what they described as his original boardroom chair — refurbished as a keepsake — and publicly wished him well in his new role. Ciccoletti told the meeting he appreciated the recognition and expressed confidence in the board and administration going forward. The tribute sequence included comments from the president and multiple board members emphasizing Ciccoletti’s contributions to students and the community.
