The superintendent told the board the district plans to begin the initial phase of the playground project on Sept. 14, describing the project as an approximately $420,000 investment for students. "We do plan to break ground on September 14 on the initial phase of the playground project ... which will give us an approximately $420,000 playground," the superintendent said.
District staff said the project will be phased and community members will be invited to view the completed installation; the superintendent urged the public to watch for invitations and noted that community donors had contributed to the effort.
