Board approves February finances and certifies tax levies totaling multiple millage lines

Treasurer Kim Beckley presented the February financial report and recommended several routine actions. Upon her recommendation, Mrs. Host moved and Ms. Campbell seconded approval of the financial report for February 2026, payment of bills, and minutes of prior meetings; the board voted unanimously to approve items A–F.
As part of those approvals the board adopted a resolution accepting amounts and rates determined by the Tuscarawas County Budget Commission and authorized certification of tax levies to the County Auditor. The levies approved were Permanent Improvement at 4.2 mills ($1,241,000) and 2.0 mills ($476,000), and Current Expense (General) at 20.5 mills ($5,300,000) and 3.0 mills ($783,000). The board also approved participation in and a request for assistance from the OSBA Legal Assistance Fund for calendar year 2026.
