The Claymont City Board of Education on June 8 approved its May 2026 financial report and authorized payment of bills for the month. The board accepted a $3,993 donation from the New Philadelphia VFW earmarked for the Claymont High School digital board.
Treasurer Kim Beckley presented the financial slate that also included approval of a five-year depository agreement with The First National Bank of Dennison and renewals of pollution insurance ($485) and cyber insurance ($7,302) through Hylant/Ohio School Plan for the policy year 7/1/26–6/30/27. The board also approved FY27 monthly health-insurance rates (single $1,119.04; family $2,718.44) and a one-premium-holiday month to be taken in July.
All items in the Treasurer’s package passed on roll-call votes recorded in the minutes.
