Claymont board OKs 2026–27 coaching supplements and recognizes longtime cheer coach

Approved supplementals for 2026–27 included cheerleading head coach Kennedy Beckley; Gary Watkins as boys' basketball head coach; Allison DeLaney as girls' basketball head coach; David White for winter weight lifting; Jonathan McCluskey; Brennan Rentsch for Boys’ JH 8th; and Brian Duvall as head bowling coach. The board also approved payment for IVC and OHSAA tournament workers.
During the same agenda item Mr. Peters recognized Sharon Grove on her retirement and thanked her for many years leading the cheerleaders. The athletic recommendations were approved with recorded roll‑call votes; Mr. Peters abstained on one item as noted in the minutes.
