On April 13 the Claymont City Board of Education approved multiple personnel actions proposed by Superintendent Brian Rentsch. The board voted to transfer Ida Gorman to the high school as assistant principal and to transfer Jodie Miles back to her previous position as assistant superintendent for 2026–27. The board also approved an administrative reduction in force for Michele Henry as Intermediate Principal at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year and then employed Henry as a middle‑school assistant principal for 2026–27.
Other personnel items approved included rescinding a one‑year limited contract for an educational aide, hiring Stephanie Lendon as Intermediate Cook effective April 20, 2026, and authorizing up to 30 extended service days for Jasmine Russell for the 2025–26 school year. The personnel package was approved on the superintendent's recommendation with a recorded roll‑call vote.
