Chair Kandice Lemhouse Worsham announced that the board would move into executive session under ORS 192.660(2)(i) to review and evaluate the employment-related performance of the superintendent. The board specifically invited Superintendent Mike Johnson and Board Secretary Marilyn Cruzan to attend and asked other audience members to leave the room.
The minutes record that "Representatives of the news media shall be allowed to attend the executive session," but that "Cameras, tape recorders and other recording devices shall not be used during the executive session." The document also states that no decision would be made in the executive session and that the meeting would adjourn after the session.
