Vice President Kristy Rubin moved the Board Governance slate (items 1–17 and addenda 31–33), and the board approved the appointments by roll call. Appointments included multiple instructional aides and PIRS/social worker positions (examples: Lindsay Zerafa, PIRS/social worker at $71,147, Step 7-MA) and autism-program aides with an annual $1,250 stipend noted for several hires. Several hires were marked "*Pending Criminal History Background Clearance." The meeting record lists specific hourly and stipend rates for aides and coaches, and additional teachers approved to teach extra sections with dollar amounts (for example, five-period assignments at JDHS at $21,042.40 for select staff).
The agenda also included substitute pay scales for 2025–26 (NJ certified teachers $135/day; paraprofessionals $20/hr.; nurses $190/day; bus drivers/CDL-exempt $25/hr.), and approval of co-curricular and athletic stipends. The board approved mentoring stipends and mentor assignments for novice teachers for the coming year.
