Board approves purchase of two buses and accepts grants, donations

Treasurer Mick Davis presented an item to buy two buses through the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council and reported the purchase price at $170,360 each for two buses; he also reported new federal grant allocations for school safety and multiple donations from boosters and foundations for athletics.
Davis said the district had received $62,397 in additional school safety and security funds and noted two foundation gifts for athletics. The board moved, seconded and approved the treasurer’s report by voice vote; members recorded affirmative votes during roll call on the motion to approve the treasurer’s items.
The motion to purchase buses and accept appropriations and donations carried during the meeting; the board will handle vendor invoicing and delivery schedules through established procurement channels.
