During the meeting the board showcased the districts Arts Conservatory and celebrated multiple student accomplishments in arts, DECA, mock trial and athletics.
Students and staff described the breadth of arts offerings and the district announced an Arts Conservatory Hall of Fame; the board recognized the high school DECA team (104 students competed at state, producing 35 finalists and 25 state champions) and the mock trial team for advancing to state. Student speakers recounted personal experiences in arts classes: one student said, "My first art class I took was photography. I really loved it," describing how arts classes shaped later choices.
The board also honored indoor track state champions: the girls 4x800 team (Sabrina Mangialardo, Ella Grant, Josie Tyndale, Claire Wilkes) recorded a 10:18 time and the boys 4x800 team (James McGrath, Tyler Martin, James O'Driscoll, Harry Hong) set a school record of 7:59.18 and later 7:58.10 at national competition. Coaches and students were invited forward for photos and applause.
