Students report winter formal, leadership and spring activities to board

Student leaders Charlotte Schlegel and Nova Gleason presented an activities report to the board describing recent events and student engagement. The report covered the winter formal (theme and attendance), spring sports turnout (noting a large track turnout) and plans to collaborate with Gaston High School on an April 15 event to build cross-school spirit.
Schlegel (S13) and Gleason (S14) also outlined leadership work: bulletin-board displays, pep rallies and maintenance of an up-to-date student calendar. Board members praised the report and encouraged student leaders to keep engaging younger students across the district. The board noted the student report was one of the most comprehensive it had seen.
