The Eden Board of Education approved multiple personnel items recommended by the superintendent, including the resignations of cafeteria monitor Emily Bauer (effective 06/30/2025) and cleaner Stacy Pagan (effective 07/08/2025). The board also approved a contingent personnel move that will transfer Sherilyn Stevens from transportation to the business office as senior clerk typist and secretary to the assistant superintendent of finance and operations, effective 07/01/2025.
Superintendent explained the business-office position had been funded but unfilled for years and said the district was fortunate to have an internal candidate with relevant experience. "She has a lot of HR experience, which is exactly what we need, as we dive deeper and deeper into the world of benefits," the superintendent said while recommending the appointment. The board also approved summer labor appointments, including hiring Zachary Hammond from 07/03/2025 through 08/29/2025.
Votes on the personnel items were recorded by voice and each motion carried in turn.
