During public comment, resident Albert Feasley addressed the board about procurement procedure and the district's corrective action plan to the New York State Comptroller's Office. "You responded, quote, the district does not intend to establish a specific dollar threshold for professional services…unquote," Feasley said, noting the Frontier Central School District uses a $50,000 threshold in its policy as an example.
Feasley said the state Comptroller's audit (covering Oct. 14, 2020–Mar. 2024) found district officials did not seek requests for proposals when required by policy and recommended the board consider adopting a specific dollar threshold or updating policy language to reflect the board's intentions. The board later approved a corrective action plan to send to the Comptroller’s office as an action item during the meeting.
