Maintenance report: district completes summer projects, flags playground net replacements

District maintenance staff provided a summary of summer projects completed across Osceola Public Schools and flagged a small set of follow-up items.

Maintenance staff member Jesse Pliefke reported that crews removed a grain bin and drier at the Coop Property, trimmed trees along the playground, sprayed sidewalks and parking lots, completed a study area and prepared a converted space for a teachers’ lounge, removed seats from an old van for a maintenance vehicle, and completed steam coil replacement. He said the district "picked up new mast lift for lights and high cleaning projects" and added that the crew "need to replace nets on playground." He thanked the summer cleaning and grounds crew for their work.

The maintenance report also noted that bus routes will be similar to last year. The board did not record additional motions tied to the maintenance report during this meeting; follow-up work will be handled by district facilities staff.
