Superintendent B. Dorritie provided multiple administrative updates at the Jan. 21 meeting. He noted that the governor’s initial state aid runs were released the previous day and that the district’s recent Hoops for Hope event raised $4,313. Dorritie thanked staff and volunteers, including the Booster Club, for supporting events and fundraising.
Dorritie also announced that Hartwick College’s VITA program will return to Laurens Central School on March 27 to provide volunteer income tax assistance, and that the invitation to bid for the district’s capital improvement project will be published in the Daily Star on Thursday. He reminded the board that the BOCES Regionalization Steering Committee will meet Feb. 3.
