The Helix School Board accepted a Division 22 standards presentation on Nov. 19, with Superintendent Brad Bixler reporting the district is in compliance.
Bixler told trustees that Helix will participate on a regional equity committee and named Ryan Heath and Mindy Arnold as the district’s representatives. The board moved to accept the presentation and documentation that Division 22 requirements are being met (motion by Bobby Corey; seconded by Ryan Raymond) and carried unanimously.
Board members said the approval reflects ongoing district work to align curriculum and policy with state standards. The packet notes the Division 22 review referenced the district’s development of an equity committee and that, as a small district, Helix may work regionally on some functions.
