Helix board accepts budget committee resignation and appoints Mindy Arnold

The Board accepted the resignation letter from Shannon Matcom Peters and formally voted to appoint Mindy Arnold to the Helix School District Budget Committee. Friday Bracher moved to accept the resignation and later moved to appoint Arnold; Bobby Corey seconded both motions and each carried 3-0 with two members absent.
Superintendent Brad Bixler explained the need to fill the vacancy and noted a desire to appoint someone with ties to the district’s equity work; Mindy Arnold said she was willing to serve. The appointments take effect immediately and Arnold will join the Budget Committee for upcoming budget work.
