Superintendent Brad Bixler and staff reviewed several facilities projects and maintenance items. Gordon’s Heating and Cooling installed heating/cooling units for a total of $18,296. Gordon’s Electric provided an estimate to add lights to the south side of the K–12 building and installed additional outlets in the practice gym (shot‑clock outlets estimated at $1,224). The district is also evaluating underground sprinklers (estimated $11,250–$13,250) and shared documents about fire alarms for the Woodshop/Band building and a new agriculture building.
Brad reported construction at the new welding shop is progressing — plumbing roughed in and framing nearing completion — but that two people gained access to the shop and stole an air compressor from the framing contractors; the theft was reported to the Umatilla County Sheriff's Office. The Booster Club approved covering field lighting estimated at $5,300. The board recorded vendor invoices in the check register, including $31,712 to Kirby Nagelhout Construction for the welding shop work and $13,937.55 to Pye‑Barker for the fire management system.
