Lifetime Resources seeks $20,000 from Jefferson County to support aging services and Catch‑a‑Ride

Michelle Bridal, director associated with Lifetime Resources, told the Jefferson County Council the organization is part of a statewide network of area agencies on aging and described services that include Catch‑a‑Ride transportation, personal care, home‑delivered meals, respite and guardianship services.

Bridal said recent state changes remove some Medicaid waiver case management from area agencies but stressed Lifetime Resources remains active, with other funding sources. She said the group’s 2027 request to Jefferson County is $20,000 — which she characterized as 1.58% of the county’s $1,300,000 budget — and said the funds would be used to match federal and state program dollars and sustain local services that prevent more costly nursing‑facility care.

Councilors thanked Bridal and asked follow‑up questions about program capacity and contracting; Bridal offered to be available for further questions and provided a packet of budget information to the council for review.
