Council introduces multiple ordinances including redevelopment plan for 453-459 Main Street (Area 14)

At the July 9 meeting the council introduced multiple ordinances for public hearing on August 13, 2026. The packet included ORD.13-2026, a bond ordinance appropriating $1,858,600 and authorizing issuance of $1,765,670 in bonds or notes for capital improvements; ORD.14-2026 authorizing acquisition of a portion of 467 Stillwell Avenue; ORD.15-2026 amending handicapped parking provisions; ORD.16-2026 establishing salaries and wages for department heads and certain nonunion employees for 2026–2029; and ORD.17-2026 adopting a redevelopment plan for Area 14 (453-459 Main Street, Block 4551 Lots 3–6).

Each ordinance was approved for introduction at the July 9 meeting and scheduled for public hearing and final action on August 13, 2026. Votes for introduction were recorded and where noted included an abstention by Councilman Drumgoole on ORD.17-2026 introduction; the record shows the council taking the procedural step of introduction rather than final adoption at this meeting.
