At the Oct. 8 work session the Helix School Board agreed the first and foremost goal for 2025–26 should be increasing opportunities for high school students. Members pointed to the district's AAOT program partnership with BMCC and to efforts to get a new shop up and running as concrete steps toward that aim.
Board discussion recorded the AAOT-BMCC pathway and the new shop as central to expanding postsecondary and career-technical options. The board said staff will develop plans to support the initiative and that the revised goals will be presented to the full board later that evening.
