The Helix School District Board approved a four‑year cooperative agreement with Pendleton for high‑school baseball and boys’ and girls’ golf at the June 10 meeting.
Athletic Director Tammie Parker told the board that pending approval the district would enter into the cooperative and that the arrangement ensures continued sport opportunities for students after the one‑year cooperative with Mac‑Hi concluded because changes in ADM altered eligibility. The motion to approve the four‑year cooperative was moved by Bobby Corey, seconded by Friday Bracher and carried (Yeas 4, Nays 0, Absent 1).
Parker also reported three coaches hired for the coming year and said several athletes may qualify for state meets during the track season.
