Cannon Beach Academy Director MaryEllen Rogozinski described working with a case manager when she was first hired and said the model of collaboration worked well. She told Seaside board members that two current CBA students have individualized education programs (IEPs) and are receiving services, and that five students have 504 plans.
Seaside staff (Susan Penrod) confirmed that CBA students are receiving special education services and clarified that 504 services are the responsibility of the charter school. Board members asked for continued coordination to ensure students’ needs are met as enrollment changes.
