Superintendent touts district rise in rankings, schedules Vernon School ribbon‑cutting

He cited several measures the administration says show improvement, including GreatSchools ratings (the high school’s college‑readiness score of 9 out of 10 and an overall 8 out of 10) and said the district’s trajectory reflects strategic planning and instructional emphasis. Dr. Yanni also invited the public and board members to a ribbon‑cutting at Vernon School on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. for the final phase of a multi‑year capital project, which will unveil a new music wing, cafeteria and athletic complex. The superintendent recommended tabling one policy resolution on the agenda so staff can provide additional information before the board acts.
