Board members heard that the adoption follows ODE vetting and a rubric‑based scoring process used by the teacher adoption committee. The presenter described the adoption as a seven‑year contract and read a total cost figure as part of the recommendation. After discussion and questions about media format and consumables, a board member moved to approve the adoption; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Administration said implementation professional development would begin in the fall for social studies teachers and elementary staff.
The board thanked the teachers who piloted materials and noted the importance of balancing print and digital resources. The administration said annual consumables would be replaced and that some materials come with ongoing replacement allowances during the contract term.
