Board hires six candidates after executive session
Summary
Following an executive session, the Darlington board approved hires including Shayla Gould (assistant cross country coach), two volunteer football coaches, a high school secretary, a high school ag teacher, and a DEMS special ed teacher intern.
After reconvening from executive session, the board approved a slate of personnel hires. Motions carried for the hires recorded in the minutes: Shayla Gould as Assistant Cross Country Coach; Colton Frost and John Sturtz as Volunteer Football Coaches; Courtney Moncrief as High School Secretary; Carmen Montgomery as High School Ag Teacher; and Christen Ruf as DEMS Special Ed Teacher Intern.
Each hire was approved by motion and recorded as carried in open session. The minutes list who moved and seconded each hire (for example, the motion to hire Shayla Gould was moved by Fink and seconded by Stauffacher). The minutes do not record salaries or contract lengths for these appointments.
