Flambeau Middle School named Wisconsin School of Recognition; seniors awarded more than $93,000 in scholarships

At the May 20 meeting, 7–12 Principal Chad Gago told the board that Flambeau Middle School was recognized for the 2024–2025 year by Dr. Jill Underly and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Gago also reported that the graduating senior class numbered 35 and that the Senior Scholarship Banquet distributed more than $93,000 in scholarship funds to 17 students.
Gago noted other school activities: the senior class took a trip to Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells, the district’s Growing Connections event returned for a second year, and the technology education department worked on press-box siding and attended PUSH “Hands-On Demo Days.” District Administrator Mark Stamper summarized staff-survey results highlighting strengths and areas for growth and provided a legislative update regarding Assembly Bill 1.
