Board approves softball out-of-state trip, Spanish Club Costa Rica trip and Community Ed festival visit

The board unanimously approved an out-of-state overnight trip for the Flambeau Softball Team in 2027, an out-of-country trip to Costa Rica for the High School Spanish Club in June 2027, and a Community Education trip to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival on Sept. 26, 2026.
The board approved three separate field trip requests during the May 20 meeting. Motions carried 7–0 to allow the Flambeau Softball Team to take an out-of-state overnight trip in 2027 and to authorize the High School Spanish Club to travel to Costa Rica in June 2027. The board also approved a Community Education trip to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival on Sept. 26, 2026.
Each trip was approved by motion and recorded as unanimous; the board did not include additional conditions in the minutes. The district administrator noted that coaches and advisors were asked to submit spending plans for activity accounts and trips as part of routine oversight.
