The Flambeau School District Board of Education met on May 20, 2026 and approved a series of personnel actions, student trips and procurement decisions. The board unanimously approved two teacher hires for 2026–27 (a middle-school social studies teacher and an elementary special-education teacher) and accepted resignations from the head and assistant boys’ basketball coaches. The board also approved contracts for several district employees following a closed session on staffing and compensation.
On transportation, a proposed comprehensive School Bus Purchase Proposal initially failed 6–1. The board then voted to table the item pending cost comparisons before later approving purchase of one bus from Stanley, with the first payment scheduled after July 1, 2026. Administrative reports included recognition of Flambeau Middle School as a 2024–2025 Wisconsin School of Recognition and a legislative update that Assembly Bill 1 was rejected by the State Senate.
