District principals reported recent instructional and extracurricular highlights at the Feb. 18 meeting. Betsy Miler, 3YK–6 Principal and SPED Director, described author and speaker visits, family reading night activities and upcoming Child Development Day, and provided enrollment projections for 3YK/4YK classes.
7–12 Principal Chad Gago briefed the board on test results and extracurricular achievements, saying juniors will visit Jump River Electric Company for ACT preparation and noting that the district’s 19th annual Cancer Benefit raised $260,000. He also reported strong forensic qualifiers and student accomplishments in wrestling and powerlifting.
