Flambeau board approves hires, accepts resignations and records a retirement

The Flambeau School District Board on Feb. 18 approved a slate of personnel actions, including hiring the 2025–26 high school boys’ golf coach Kelly Hruby and the middle school track head coach Rachel Nagel, and hiring long-term substitute Jeffery Kopacz. All hiring motions were recorded as carried by roll-call votes that were unanimous.
The board accepted the retirement of High School Science Teacher Rycki Moravec and accepted the resignation and conclusion of the exchange program for Elementary Special Education Teacher Sreya Choudhuri and the resignation of Math and Technology Teacher Dr. Avijit Das. The board also approved overload payments for Elizabeth Schmidt (record shows President Alberson abstained on the Schmidt payment) and for Kelly Hruby.
