Flambeau board approves student overnight and out-of-state field trips

The Flambeau School District Board of Education on Feb. 18 approved several overnight and out-of-state field trips for students, including a senior-class trip to Kalahari Resort in Baraboo, Wis., and team travel for state tournaments.
The board voted 6-0 to approve the senior-class trip to Kalahari Resort in Baraboo, the Ice Fishing team’s trip to the state tournament in Weston, the high school boys’ basketball team and wrestling team trips to Madison for state competition, and the powerlifting team’s trip to Appleton for the state powerlifting tournament. The board also approved a fifth-grade out-of-state trip to the Duluth Great Lakes Aquarium and Train Museum in Duluth, Minn. Motions were made and seconded by board members as recorded in the meeting minutes; all motions were recorded as carried 6-0.
