Flambeau School Board re-elects Ted Alberson as president, fills officer posts

Ted Alberson was re-elected Board President at the Flambeau School District Board of Education’s April 29 reorganization. The board cast a unanimous ballot (7-0) for Alberson after nominations and a motion to cast a unanimous ballot was made by Jennifer Heath and seconded by Zenny Mahun.
Jennifer Heath was elected Vice-President by unanimous ballot, Kim Dachel accepted the Clerk position after a nomination and confirmation, and Lana Nelson was elected Treasurer, all by 7-0 unanimous ballots. Laura Dutter-Nelson volunteered to serve as the district’s delegate to the CESA 10 annual convention for 2026-27, with Jennifer Heath or Lana Nelson named as backups if she is unable to attend.
The reorganization began with a brief review of officer duties led by President Alberson; the board also confirmed responsibilities for minute-taking, naming Julie Hoefs as recorder for Open Session minutes and Kim Dachel to record Closed Session minutes. The officer elections and delegate appointment were procedural and carried without recorded opposition.
