During its June 29 meeting, the Policy Committee reviewed academic-policy language, including elementary testing and promotion wording. The committee updated assessment language to reflect the elimination of STAR testing and to align handbook references with the district assessments required under Act 20.
The committee also discussed the possibility of additional progress monitoring assessments, building opening times, the treatment of zero-hour courses and associated credit, class drop/add procedures to maintain balanced schedules, and consistent student pass procedures. No formal adoption of the new text is recorded in the meeting minutes.
