Watonga Board appoints Quinton McGuire to seat #3 and approves hires after executive session

Pursuant to 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(1) the Watonga Board met in executive session to consider appointment to the vacant board seat #3 and hiring recommendations for certified and support staff. The board entered executive session at 8:12 p.m. and returned to open session at 8:38 p.m.

After the executive session, the board voted to hire the certified employees listed on Attachment A and to employ the support personnel listed on Attachment B for the 2026–2027 school year; each motion carried 3–0. A motion was then made and passed to appoint Quinton McGuire to the vacant board member seat #3. The minutes state: "A motion was made by Aaron Clewell, seconded by Courtney Nagel that Quinton McGuire be appointed to the vacant board member #3."
