Northvale board approves 2026-27 personnel slate, reappoints business administrator at $149,682

The Northvale Board of Education on June 25 approved a slate of personnel resolutions covering appointments, rehires and Extended School Year (ESY) staffing for 2026–2027. On a motion by Mrs. Horgan and seconded by Mrs. Banzaca, the board approved items P-1 through P-21, which include the appointment of Susan Dykstra as Custodian of Public Records and Public Agency Compliance Officer (PACO), the designation of Michael Pinajian as School Safety Specialist, and the appointment of Farleny Colon as District 504 Officer.
The board also approved ESY staffing and substitute lists, and retroactively approved Brandon Finnie on receipt of tenure. The board approved a one-year contract for Susan Dykstra as School Business Administrator/Board Secretary for the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, "at an annual salary of $149,682." The motion carried unanimously on the roll call vote.
