Okemah board signs multiple 2026–2027 memberships and service contracts

The Okemah Board of Education approved a set of memberships and contracts carrying into the 2026–2027 school year. Items approved by individual motions included renewal of Oklahoma Schools Insurance Group (OSIG) membership; a contract with J&J School Consulting, LLC for impact-aid services; workers' compensation coverage with Oklahoma School Assurance Group (OSAG); and a District Level Services agreement with the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA).
Additional approvals included membership renewals with the Oklahoma Public School Resource Center (OPSRC), the National Association of Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS), and the Oklahoma Association Serving Impacted Schools (OASIS); a cooperative academic-credit addendum with Wes Watkins Technology Center for open enrollment and credit recovery; a technology-services contract with WPS; and a Memorandum of Agreement with Muscogee (Creek) Nation Head Start. All motions as recorded passed by a unanimous roll call vote, Yea: 5, Nay: 0.
