The Taloga Board of Education met July 8, 2026 and approved a series of routine and personnel actions. President Jerod Acre called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.; board members recorded present were Jerod Acre, Ladeana Birney, Stacy King and Doug Kilmer (Justin Fox was absent). The board approved General Fund warrants/encumbrances (Cert# 1–22, 24) and Building Fund warrants/encumbrances (Cert# 23).
During the meeting the board approved changes to the district Student Handbook and Teacher Handbook for the 2026–27 school year and voted to purchase an elementary math curriculum for 2026–27. The board also approved dispersal of Class of 2026 funds to the next four classes (Class of 2027 — $335.21; Class of 2028 — $335.20; Class of 2029 — $335.20; Class of 2030 — $335.20). An addendum to Superintendent Cherice Fox’s agreement to provide a staff retention bonus was approved 3–1 (Acre, Birney and Kilmer yes; Stacy King no). The board hired Macy Smith as support staff for 2026–27 and subsequently adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
