Board approves routine contract amendment, fixed-asset disposal and Parks & Wildlife grant application

At the Feb. 26 meeting the board approved several routine administrative items: a 5% off‑cycle contract amendment for Summit Food Service LLC to offset rising food costs for jail meals; a fixed-asset disposal listing for aging technology and equipment to be recycled; and submission of a Colorado Parks and Wildlife impact assistance grant application totaling about $11,755.67 for 13,382.344 acres of state park and wildlife area impact acreage.

Commissioners discussed whether some functional tech on the disposal list could be offered to local schools or nonprofits before recycling; staff said much of the equipment is end‑of‑life and hard drives are destroyed for security. The Summit Food Service amendment reflects repeated cost adjustments in recent years and staff said the vendor provides satisfactory service.
