The Oxford Academy & Central School Board approved a broad set of personnel actions at its May 13 meeting.
The board accepted a leave of absence request for Science Teacher Brandon Stoddard (approximately Sept. 4–Oct. 9, 2025). It approved the appointment of Haley DeJager as Modified Track coach and several substitute teacher appointments pending required clearances. The board authorized summer reading and math program staff at published hourly rates (teachers $40/hr not to exceed $2,880; teacher aides $35/hr not to exceed $2,520; support and office roles at $35–$40/hr with specified caps) and named middle school summer school teachers for 2025.
Personnel actions also included approving Charles Davenport Jr. as a volunteer, the appointment of Karen Ellsworth as Speech Therapist effective Sept. 1, 2025 (probation through Sept. 1, 2028), and provisional appointment of Ethan Moore as a full‑time custodial worker effective May 20, 2025 (pending fingerprint clearance). Separately, the board approved placing employee #2632 on administrative leave retroactive to April 29, 2025, through June 30, 2025, citing an ongoing investigation. All motions were approved by 4–0 votes where noted.
