The board on June 3 authorized the Oxford Academy and Central School District to participate in the RIC ONE Risk Operations Center (ROC) arrangements and to allow attorneys designated by the ROC to negotiate and approve Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) and related exhibits that include Ed Law 2-d and Part 121 compliance language.
The resolution authorizes district participation for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, notes the ROC partners with NYSED and the Student Data Privacy Consortium, and clarifies that DPAs presented to districts do not require additional budget expenditures beyond those already planned. The board approved the resolution unanimously.
The action is an administrative authorization to streamline vendor-level contracting for software and services that handle student personally identifiable information and certain APPR-related data.
