Tennis courts delayed; district confirms opening day, orientations and start-of-year schedule

Superintendent Nicholas A. Colosi told the Board that completion of the tennis courts and benches on the PS/HS campus will stretch past the start of classes; campus access for faculty and staff is possible beginning Aug. 18. New teacher orientation is scheduled for Aug. 20–21 and Opening Day preparations are nearly complete. Parent letters will cover the portrait of a graduate initiative, SchoolTool logins, transportation expectations and electronic device use.
Board members also reviewed summer program outcomes and calendar reminders: CCSBA event Aug. 12, Student BOE Member Conference Aug. 14, a tentative Aug. 25 BOE meeting, staff development Sept. 2–3 and school opening on Sept. 4. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
