Board schedules strategic-plan work session and flags summer trainings and dates

Superintendent Krista Nieraeth told the board the district’s strategic plan must be updated to align with new accountability requirements and recommended using a consultant familiar with the Inflexion process. She proposed beginning the work in June (with no July meeting) and holding a work session in August; the board agreed to that timeline.
Nieraeth also reminded board members about OSBA summer training (noting that she and Mrs. Reeser were already registered) and reviewed upcoming dates: May 20 (Budget Committee meeting, if needed), May 25 (Memorial Day, no school), June 5 (graduation at 6 p.m.), June 10 (public hearing on the budget at 6 p.m. and regular board meeting at 6:15 p.m.), June 11 (last day for students) and June 12 (last day for certified staff).
