At the May 13 meeting student representative Kylee O’Brien told board members she was worried that prior science instruction had not prepared her for college-level courses and that this could affect her future plans. Kylee said she plans to attend Chemeketa Community College to pursue a career as a dental hygienist; fellow student Madison O’Brien plans to attend Chemeketa to study veterinary technology.
When asked what they would change about the school, Kylee said she "did not feel adequately prepared for college-level science courses," while Madison said she could not think of anything she would change and both students expressed appreciation for staff support and a small-community atmosphere.
