Commissioners approve routine orders, grant application and interlocal agreements in 5–0 votes

At its May 26 meeting the Kendall County Commissioners Court approved a series of routine and operational actions: accounts payable claims totaling $1,193,064.96 were approved after a motion by Commissioner Regent and a second, with the vote recorded as 5–0.

The court also approved order O‑20260526‑2, updating the county order on transportation of juvenile offenders to reflect the board’s current judicial composition (motion passed 5–0); approved participation in a mutual‑aid law enforcement task force and authorized staff to terminate prior interlocal agreements (O‑20260526‑3, 5–0); and authorized county staff to apply for the FY2025 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAP) reimbursement resolution R‑20260526‑1 (5–0). The court replaced an earlier highway dedication resolution for Russell Dean “Rusty” Salazar with R‑20260526‑2 (5–0). The consent agenda (minutes, fee reports, auditor’s monthly report, authorization to solicit seal‑coat bids, road work and sign summaries) was approved 5–0. Several items were taken off or pulled for further negotiation (a Transwestern owner’s‑agent agreement and a proposed stop sign at Wyatt Trail). No action from closed session was announced.
