Turnpike Elementary’s March report to the Lansingburgh board emphasized student attendance and social-emotional learning initiatives. The building reported monthly attendance figures (examples: UPK 88%, K 86%, TES overall 88%) and noted that attendance tends to improve around school events. Staff are reinforcing Bee Expectations and ordering larger posters to increase visibility across the building.
The report highlighted programming and family engagement: the PTA’s Glow Bingo and Skate Knight events each drew more than 200 attendees, the PTA auction raised over $4,000 for school activities, and a Spring Book Fair and Literacy Night provided free books to every student. The district announced a community public deliberation, "Food For Thought: Addressing Food Security," scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Revolutionary Hall in Troy to engage residents on food-insecurity solutions.
Separately, student and athletics updates at the high school noted that spring sports are starting and that Lansingburgh will host an Outdoor Track & Field Invitational on April 24—17 schools are expected to attend, making it the largest meet the district has hosted in two decades. Student Board Member Emma Turley also reported senior announcements and scholarship postings on SchoolLinks.
