District notes auditors, robotics competition and schedule change at Sept. 11 meeting

District administrators provided several operational updates at the Sept. 11 meeting. Superintendent Heidi Sipe said two thank‑you cards were added (for the fire department and Umatilla Police Department) and thanked MidCo staff for fixing transportation routes. She also announced that "USD will be hosting a Robotics Competition on Oct. 12th." The board moved the Oct. 9 meeting start time to 6:00 p.m. so board members and staff can attend the football game.
Business Manager Kim Gilsdorf said auditors will be on site next week as the district prepares for the audit. Facilities and counseling staff noted other calendar items, a forthcoming book weeding list and the Family Fall Dance scheduled for Oct. 12 from 1–3 p.m.
