District facilities staff and principals updated the board on construction and site concerns at the Sept. 11 meeting. The CTE building's woodshop "still doesn't have power" and staff are awaiting resolution even as the remodeled CTE space progresses rapidly.
Columbia Vista Intermediate hosted its first soccer games on the new field; Principal Tim Young described the event as memorable: "It was awesome to see the CVI students having fun hosting the new soccer field." The board also heard a parent/guardian complaint that playground equipment and swings at CVI were insufficient; Principal Young said double swings will be installed. Staff noted that some supplies (soccer balls and four‑square balls) are backordered.
No formal action was taken during the facilities update, but the board recorded these operational concerns for follow up with maintenance and ordering teams.
