The Umatilla School District Board of Directors unanimously approved a package of routine business and policy items during its Sept. 11 meeting, including minutes from August, the HR report, supervisory staff conflict disclosures, disbursements and financial statements.
Board Member Travis Eynon asked which sport two middle‑school assistant coaches support; Principal Rick Cotterell clarified they are assisting with middle‑school track. After that clarification, the board approved the consent agenda on a motion by Board Member Jon Lorence, seconded by Board Member Travis Eynon; the clerk recorded the vote as unanimous, 6‑0.
The board also approved its board goals (motion by Board Member Toby Cranston, seconded by Jon Lorence) and the superintendent's goals "as adjusted" (moved by Board Member Steve Warr, seconded by Board Member Eynon). Both motions passed unanimously, 6‑0.
The board adopted policy JFCEB (Personal Electronic Devices) and its administrative regulation for exceptions, and approved declaring specified items surplus. On surplus items, the board recorded that "the board wants to offer the desks to the schools first." The motion to surplus items passed unanimously, 6‑0.
These routine approvals were recorded in the minutes; no dissent or amendments were noted.
